Zen Shield & Focus

Focus that holds — calmly

Zen Shield is KaiZenly+’s built-in app blocker and focus timer for Android. Start a timed session and distracting apps are blocked, while the apps you actually need stay available. It’s built to add real friction to the moments you’d normally lose to scrolling.

How the app blocker works

Focus timer (screen timer)

Pick a duration and start a full-screen Focus Space with a live countdown and a blocked-attempt counter. Works like a screen time lock.

Allowed apps list

Keep up to 8 essential apps — like WhatsApp, your phone dialer, or maps — usable while everything else is blocked. Smarter than an all-or-nothing lock.

The Distraction Wall

Open a blocked app and a full-screen wall gently returns you to focus. Better than a hard crash-out on most app blockers.

Parachutes

A small number of early-exit tokens make breaking focus a deliberate decision, not a reflex — a key Zen Shield difference from simple blockers.

Scheduled focus

Auto-start app-blocking focus sessions at set times on the days you choose — no manual start needed.

Bedtime mode

Automatically activate Zen Shield's app blocker during your bedtime hours to protect your sleep and digital wellbeing.

An honest note on blocking

Zen Shield is designed to add friction and protect your focus. It is not an unbreakable lock — a determined user can still find ways around any on-device blocker. An optional strict mode (Device Admin) adds a throttled device lock after repeated bypass attempts, but it’s never on by default, and emergency calls always stay available.
