Privacy Policy

This is the official privacy policy for KaiZenly+. In short: the developer does not collect your data, the app has no tracking, and everything you create stays on your device. For a friendlier walk-through, see the Privacy overview.

Who this policy is from

KaiZenly+ (“the app”) is made by one solo student developer based in Pakistan. There is no company, no marketing network, and no data team behind it.

What data the developer collects

None. KaiZenly+ has no developer server or backend. Your habits, journals, moods, schedules, and settings are never sent to the developer. The app has no analytics SDK, no advertising identifiers, and no background reporting. Normal use does not need an internet connection at all.

Where your data lives

Everything you create stays on your device in an encrypted database. App preferences are stored locally on the device too. Nothing is uploaded unless you personally choose to make a backup.

Encryption

Your data is encrypted. The app’s on-device data is encrypted, your local backups are encrypted, and the optional Google Drive backup file is already encrypted before it leaves your phone. A backup is unlocked only by a password only you know — it is never stored and never sent anywhere.

Optional Google Drive backup

Google Drive backup is optional, manual, and opt-in. If you enable it, you sign in with your own Google account and the app uploads one already-encrypted file to a private app folder in your Drive that only KaiZenly+ can see. Backups go to your Drive — never to the developer. Your use of Google Drive is also covered by Google’s own privacy policy.

Permissions

Some features (mainly Focus / Zen Shield) need device permissions. They are requested only when you enter a feature that needs them, and each one is explained on the Permissions page. The Accessibility service used during a focus session reads only app package and class names for enforcement — it does not read your messages, passwords, keystrokes, or screen content.

Children’s privacy

KaiZenly+ does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children. It is a general self-improvement tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Keeping or deleting your data

Because your data lives only on your device, you control it completely. Deleting a backup or uninstalling the app removes the data from that location. There is no developer copy to request or delete, because the developer never had it.

Third parties

The only third party involved is Google — and only if you choose to use Google Drive backup, through your own account. No data is sold or shared with advertisers, brokers, or anyone else. This website is hosted on Netlify; Netlify's own privacy policy governs any server-level logs they may retain (such as IP addresses and request timestamps). Those logs, if any, are outside the developer's control and are not accessible to the developer.

European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)

Because KaiZenly+ collects no personal data, the developer has no data to process under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent UK/Swiss legislation. Your rights under those laws — including access, rectification, erasure, portability, and restriction of processing — apply to any data held by the data controller. Since no data is held by the developer, those requests are satisfied by design: there is nothing to access, correct, export, or delete on the developer's side. For data stored on your own device, you exercise those rights directly by using or uninstalling the app.

California users (CCPA / CPRA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have rights including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. KaiZenly+ does not collect, sell, share, or disclose any personal information. There is no personal information held by the developer to exercise rights against. No personal information is sold or shared with third parties for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Security

The developer takes reasonable technical measures to protect the app and its users. Your on-device data is encrypted. Backup files are encrypted before leaving your device. The app is built without any analytics or advertising SDKs that could introduce security risks from third-party code. No developer-held data means there is no developer-side breach risk for your personal information.

Changes to this policy

If server, backend, AI, or MCP features are ever added, this policy will be updated before any data behaviour changes. Those features are only a possible future direction today. The "last updated" date at the bottom of this page always reflects the current version.

Contact

For any privacy-related questions, email the developer at kaizenlyplus@gmail.com. The developer is a solo student in Pakistan and will respond as promptly as possible.
